The main characteristics of this project come once more after a critical review of the planning regulations. For this site, the planning authorities had designed a closed block, with buildings over 25m deep. The proposed solution changes the building around the perimeter of the block for three loops that result in a more effective use of free space, privacy and sunlight.
The revision of the planning allowed the adjustments of alignments and levels, resulting in the following:
1. Three loops with heights of four and six storeys are pinned and shaped to model the spaces between them. The result is a set of very wide ventilation patios, which improve considerably the quality of the rooms opening onto them.
2. Two different heights for each side of the loop allows a far more interesting volume without an increase of the built area.
3. Despite the freedom of movement of the buildings in the interior of the block, alignments with the surrounding streets are respected.
4. All units have the same orientation: East and West.
