These three small buildings are located in a typical square of the Poblenou extension grid, generally small and surrounded by narrow streets. The square is built only on 50% of its extension, the rest being occupied by public grounds. The buildings fill in the gap left by the demolition of three small old houses.
Despite the fact that the plots have very different sizes, orientations and contact with the public grounds, the project has been undertaken as a whole. Proposed changes in the planning regulations have resulted in a scheme that can be treated as one, at the same time that each building can respond to its own particularities.
The façades have been built with a special brick purposely designed for these buildings. It is 29 x 14,5 x 6cm with a central joint, which changes the usual perception of brick façades making it look like a clad building.
