LIMITED COMPETITION PARTICIPATION | 2013

The new student dormitory of the University of Erlangen is an important element in the structure of a north-south axis that is to unite the areas of Natural Sciences with the Technical Schools to form a new campus. The architectural conception and the implantation of its volumetric structure aimed to avoid interfering in this point of connection with the new central space that connects with the Roten Platz. The internal circulations were restructured, and the parking garage was situated on the far eastern end of the building. The new structures were made architecturally compatible with the existing dormitories, and the landscaping updated to unite the existing and new structures.
