The existing house was built in 1942, and it is located on a site very close to Valldoreix train station, in a quiet residential area.
The aim of the extension is not only to increase the ground floor area, but also to create a good relationship between the existing house and the sun-filled back garden, which had until now been neglected.
The extension comprises a dining room and a kitchen, from which the back garden is easily accessible. The demolition of the existing kitchen allows the lounge to increase in size.
The façade is clad with a wooden finish composite panel (Prodema) fixed to a metal sub-structure. The box is sitting on a concrete pediment, and the coping is made of an angular steel beam.
