CATALUNYA CONSTRUCCIÓ AWARD | 2018

The Casa de Lactància or Children’s Hospital is a modernist building designed by Pere Flaqués in 1908 and constructed in 1913 by Antoni Falguera. The original structure was built around a patio. In 1968 there was an addition of three floors and the posterior facade was torn down. The principal objective of our intervention was the modification of the residential spaces to adapt to contemporary usage, improving accessibility, heating and air-conditioning, safety and fire regulations.
